If someone approaches you to sell you a cigar, it is going to be fake no matter what they tell you. The wooden cigar boxes they have look official with tax stamps and seals on it, but again, they are fake. They buy them from a local manufacturer for 100 pesos ($8) for a box of 5. They typically ask $75 to start for the box of 5, but will sell them for 200 pesos, about $16. If you want a real Cuban cigar, you need to go to a CIGAR STORE with walk-in humidor and pay $20+ for ONE cigar, and then you will have a real Cuban.
