THE BOAT

“Winner 7″ is a 52′ Hatteras Sportfish YACHT  custom rigged with the best fishing and electronic gear available for world class sportfishing in Cabo San Lucas waters. It has a large flying bridge that will hold 10 people easily, a full galley, 2 staterooms, 2 nice heads, a large salon that will also hold 10, a huge fishing cockpit with tournament grade fish fighting chair, stereo (bring your iPod), air conditioning, satellite telephone, and a cockpit sunshade.   The huge front deck can hold up to 10 people for sunbathing on the deck cushions.  The boat is 52′ long, has a 17’ beam, twin diesel turbo engines and weighs 35 tons. It holds 1100 gallons of fuel and has a range of 1000 miles.  It is a big, safe and comfortable boat with all safety equipment aboard for offshore ocean navigation.  There are 20 life jackets on board with whistles, strobe lights, and dye markers on them; an emergency waterproof GPS & VHF RADIO,  automatic life rafts, and an automatic fire extinguishing system that is very good.  The big flares and dye markers are three times the requirement for the boat, There is also an EPIRB – Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon – which sets off an automatic mayday and tells the world where we are and who we are for an automatic rescue response, anywhere in the world.  Port captain says we have more safety equipment than any boat our size in marina.  We even have a pendant you can wear so if you fall off the boat, an alarm will go off and your position will be marked on our TWO commercial grade map plotter/GPS’s. The boat is very stable and doesnt rock and roll all day like a smaller boat. You will feel safe on this boat out in the ocean because you ARE SAFE.

THE CAPTAIN & CREW

Your captain is Miguel “Marro” Castro. Miguel has been fishing these waters all his life, is well known, loves what he does, and is considered one the the best sportfishing captains in Cabo.  He is an expert in these waters, and will put the boat “on the fish.” His english is good, and will accommodate his passengers in every way.  Our First Mate is Pablo, an outstanding fisherman in his own right, as well as our master chef.  With these two, we have one of the best crews in Cabo.  Do as they say, and you will have the fishing experience of a lifetime.   It doesn’t get any better than what we do.  We are a world class tournament rigged offshore ocean sportfihing boat.  Kathy and I come out too so we take care of the clients and we guarantee you a great time.

THE EQUIPMENT

The best available:  All new Penn IGFA roller guide rods & Penn International 2 speed reels on the heavy gear and Penn and Accurate reels and Seeker rods on the medium and light gear. There are 40 rod and reel combos on board and over 200 lures and teasers of all types. The custom bait tanks hold 150 baits including a bow and stern tank, and a bait pitching platform is on the bow sprit. There are 6 tuna tubes (for large baits), 36′ triple spreader outriggers and center rigger capable of trolling many lures, and a Pompanette fish fighting chair in the 14’ wide cockpit.  Ice machines and freezers are on board for your catch. There are fishfinder sonars, navigation plotters, autopilots, radar, and VHF radios.

We also have snorkeling equipment for your use at no extra charge if you want to try that.
